I met Lindsey and Trey a couple of years ago when they modeled for me for a beautiful autumnal wedding inspiration shoot. I was instantly smitten with them because their love radiated in every look and touch between them. It was obvious from the start that these two are the real deal - real, true love.
So earlier this year, when I was in need of a couple to take portraits of, I reached out to Lindsey to see if her and Trey would be interested in a couple's session. Much to might delight, she agreed quickly! Not even a week later, I received an email from Trey asking if it would be appropriate and if I'd be ok with him maybe proposing to Lindsey, it was the perfect way to throw her off his tracks. Needless to say, I was over the moon and I quickly said yes! I spent the next couple of months assisting Trey in getting Lindsey's ring size, styling their shoot, and putting together an amazing vendor team for the two of them.
I was so nervous on the day of their session as I walked them through the first set of photos, essentially setting Lindsey up for the proposal and giving Trey a chance to get down on one knee and surprise her - I thought I was giving the whole thing away! My favorite part is that when Lindsey turned around and saw him down on one knee, she thought it was part of the shoot! Like any good model she kept her composure and walked over to Trey like a pro. It wasn't until Trey started to speak from the heart that we heard her ask, "Is this for real?!" From there the tears and happiness took over! I surprised them with a bottle of bubbly and we celebrated their new engagement at the top of Guanella Pass with this wonderful session.
